BEEF STEW



Ingredients:

1/2 kg MONTEREY BEEF CAMPTO, cut into chunks
3 tbsp light soy sauce
1/2 tsp pepper
1/3 cup MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1/4 cup cooking oil
1 (50 g) pc onion, sliced
1 tsp grated ginger
1 (100 g) pc carrot, cut into chunks
1 (150 g) pc potato, cut into chunks
5 cups water
1 pc beef bouillon cube
2 stalks celery, sliced 1” long
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp cornstarch, mixed with 2 tbsp water

Procedure:

  1. Marinate beef in soy sauce and pepper for 30 minutes. Dredge in flour then fry in hot oil. Drain fried beef pieces on paper towels. Set aside.
  2. In a casserole or pot, heat 2 tbsp used oil from frying and sauté onion and ginger.
  3. Add fried beef, water and bouillon cube. Let simmer then add carrot and potato and continue simmering until meat and vegetables are tender.
  4. Add celery and sesame oil. Add cornstarch mixture. Simmer until sauce thickens.

Makes 5 servings.
