BEEF, CHEESE AND MUSHROOM QUESADILLA


Ingredients:

2 tbsp cooking oil
1 (50 g) pc onion, chopped
1 (198 g) can button mushrooms pieces and stems, drained
1 tbsp sugar
350 grams MONTEREY GROUND BEEF
1 tsp iodized fine salt
1 tsp pepper
6 pc store-bought 8-inch flour tortillas
1 (185 g) pack MAGNOLIA QUICKMELT CHEESE, grated

Procedure:

  1. Heat oil in pan. Saute onion and mushrooms over medium heat. Add sugar and continue to sauté for another minute. Add beef, salt and pepper and cook for 5 minutes. Set aside.
  2. Spread every 1/2 cup of cooked beef mixture in the centre of each flour tortilla. Add cheese then cover again with another flour tortilla.
  3. Using non-stick pan, cook quesadilla for 1 minute on each side or until cheese melts. Slice and serve.

Makes 6 servings.
