BARBECUE STYLE PORK


Ingredients:

2 (500 mL) cups lemon lime soda
1/2 cup tomato ketchup
1 cup brown sugar
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp pepper
2 cups pork stock
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 cups water
1-1/4 kg MONTEREY PORK KASIM, rolled and tied
3 tbsp cornstarch, dissolved in 1/4 cup water

Procedure:

  1. Combine all ingredients except cornstarch mixture in a large pot and bring to a boil, while stirring.
  2. Lower heat then let simmer covered until meat is tender. Remove meat and set aside.
  3. Let sauce simmer then add cornstarch mixture, stirring continuously, until sauce thickens. Turn off heat. Pour sauce onto pork then serve.

Makes 8 servings.
