Spread the Love
Bread and butter have long been paired together like peaches and cream or honey and jam. But there are many more exciting spreads to fill your sandwiches. Here are five easy spreads that can easily be prepared ahead of time.
1. Queso de Bola and Mixed Dried Fruit Spread
Grate 2 cups of Magnolia Queso de Bola and combine with 3/4 cup softened Magnolia Golden Butter Unsalted. Add 2 tbsp each of chopped dried mangoes, cranberries, pineapples, raisins or any chopped dried fruit you prefer. Drizzle with a tablespoon of honey and sprinkle with 1/8 tsp of ground nutmeg and 1/8 tsp ground all-spice. Serve with crackers or slices of toasted bread.
2. Cheezee Chicken Pimiento Spread
In a bowl, blend together two 235g packs of Magnolia Cheezee Squeeze Pimiento, one 180g can of drained Purefoods Sexy Chix in Guiltless Broth, and one 30g pc of diced red bell pepper. Serve on a piece of toast for that perfect bite.
3. Fiery Cheese Spread
Mix together one 230g bottle of Magnolia Cream Cheese Spread, one 185g pack of grated Magnolia Quickmelt Cheese, one cup fried Purefoods Bacon Crumble, and 1/3 cup of Magnolia Purefresh Natural Cow’s Milk with 2 tbsp chopped jalapeño and 1/4 roasted bell peppers, peeled and chopped.
Simmer over low heat until smooth. Transfer onto an oven-proof dish. Sprinkle 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese on top and toast it in the oven until golden brown. It’s too hot and too yummy to handle!
4. Bloody Cheese Dip
Blend together one 225g bar of cubed Magnolia Cream Cheese, 1 pc chopped red bell pepper, 2 tbsp minced basil leaves, 2 tbsp minced parsley, 2 tbsp lime juice, and 1 clove chopped garlic. Add salt and pepper to taste. Place on a serving dish with pita chips or sliced vegetables.
5. 3-Cheese Pâté
Gently beat 1/2 cup softened Magnolia Cream Cheese until smooth. Then mix together with 1/2 cup grated Magnolia Cheddar Cheese and 1 cup Magnolia Queso de Bola. Add 1/2 tsp garlic powder, pepper, 1 tbsp chopped spring onions and 2 tbsp chopped parsley. Place in a serving bowl.
In a pan, melt 1/4 cup Magnolia Gold Butter Unsalted and cook over low heat until brown, but be careful not to burn it. Strain and pour over the top of the pâté. Chill before serving with melba toasts.
