PALITAW WITH CHEESE


Ingredients:

2 cups (260 g) glutinous rice flour
1/8 tsp iodized fine salt
1 cup water
1 pack (160 g) MAGNOLIA QUICKMELT or MAGNOLIA CHEEZEE, sliced
1 cup (76 g) freshly grated coconut
1/2 cup sesame seeds, toasted
1 cup sugar

Procedure:

  1. Mix rice flour, salt and water. Make oval-shaped pieces then flatten.
  2. Sandwich a slice of cheese in between 2 pieces of galapong mixture.
  3. Cook palitaw pieces in boiling water then drain.
  4. Combine coconut, sesame seeds and sugar in a bowl then dredge palitaw in the mixture.

Makes 15 pieces (35 g each).

Tip/s:

  • Use ready made rice dough (galapong) if available.
