ORIENTAL RICE


Ingredients:

1 clove garlic
1 pc thumb-size ginger
2 pc red chili peppers
1/2 cup sliced shallots
1/2 cup MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER UNSALTED
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp ground turmeric
2 tsp fish sauce
3 cups Japanese rice, cooked
3-1/2 cups chicken stock
1/2 cup raisins

Procedure:

  1. In a blender, blend garlic, ginger, chilies and shallots. Set aside.
  2. Heat 1/4 cup of butter and olive oil. Sauté ground ingredients and ground turmeric. Season with fish sauce. Add rice and cook for about 5 minutes more.
  3. Add chicken stock and cook covered until rice is tender. When cooked, add raisins and remaining butter. Mix thoroughly. Serve hot.
Makes 6 servings.
