ORANGE BUTTER LOAF


Ingredients:

LOAF:

360 grams MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
3 grams baking powder
1.5 grams baking soda
5 grams iodized fine salt
62.5 mL fresh orange juice
187.5 mL MAGNOLIA FULL CREAM MILK
200 grams DARI CRÈME CLASSIC
432.8 grams sugar
4 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS
10 grams orange zest

SYRUP:

125 mL fresh orange juice
108.2 grams sugar

BUTTERCREAM:

450 grams DARI CRÈME CLASSIC
155 grams powdered sugar
82.5 mL MAGNOLIA FULL CREAM MILK
5 mL vanilla

Procedure:

  1. Pre-heat oven at 350°F.  Line 4 pieces 7”x3”x3” mini loaf pan with baking paper.
  2. To make Loaf: combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
  3. Pour orange juice to milk. Set aside.
  4. Cream Dari Creme along with the sugar until light and fluffy.  Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.  Add orange zest and mix very well.
  5. Add flour mixture with the milk mixture, mix very well and pour into prepared pan.  Bake for 30 – 45 minutes or until done.
  6. To prepare Syrup: combine orange juice and sugar, place in a saucepan and allow to boil.  Set aside and cool.
  7. Pour mixture over the loaf once it has completely cooled.
  8. To make Buttercream:  cream Dari Creme in a bowl until fluffy.  Slowly add powdered sugar and milk, continue beating until well blended.  Add vanilla last.  Spread on top of loaf and decorate as desired.
Makes 32 servings or 4 loaves.
