MINCED PORK IN LETTUCE


Ingredients:

2 tbsp cooking oil
1 strip PUREFOODS CLASSIC HONEYCURED BACON, sliced
1 cup MONTEREY GROUND LEAN PORK
1/2 cup chopped carrots
1/4 cup Hoisin sauce
1/2 tsp pepper
1/3 cup chopped singkamas
2 tbsp green onions, chopped
1/4 cup crumbled fried bihon
12 leaves Iceberg lettuce

Procedure:

  1. Heat oil in pan. Sauté bacon then add pork and cook until color changes. Add carrots and mix well.
  2. Add hoisin sauce and pepper. Let simmer.
  3. Add singkamas. Cook over moderate heat for 2 minutes. Stir in green onions. Remove from heat.
  4. Arrange lettuce leaves on platter then top with meat mixture and crispy bihon.

Makes 6 servings.
