Makidog With Japanese Mayo


  1. Combine the sugar, vinegar, and salt into a bowl. Mix well until sugar has dissolved. Mix with rice.
  2. On a sushi mat with nori, line one cup of rice in the center.
  3. Place one hot dog on top of the rice. Roll the top of the mat over. Keep rolling until maki sushi if formed. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  4. Before cutting, damp your knife with water so it won’t stick. Cut each roll into 8 slices. Top each with Japanese mayo.

Makes 8 servings.

Tip: You can also use PUREFOODS LUNCHEON MEAT as a different version of maki. You can also put a layer of rice and vegetables to make colorful makidogs.
