COFFEE BROAS


Ingredients:

4 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS, separate egg yolks from whites
2/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1/2 tsp iodized fine salt
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 (17 g) sachet SAN MIG BARAKO 3-in-1 COFFEE
1/2 cup powdered sugar

Procedure:

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F. Line baking tray with baking paper. Set aside.
  2. In a bowl, beat egg yolks until light in color and very thick. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Add sugar gradually and continue beating until stiff. Fold the egg whites into the egg yolks.
  4. Sift the flour and salt together. Fold into the egg mixture. Blend in the vanilla and dissolved coffee. Transfer mixture into a pastry bag then pipe out strips about 3 inches long. Sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar. Immediately bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges have become brown.
Makes 36 pieces.
