CHEEZEE BREAD ROLLS


Ingredients:

Dough:

1-1/3 tsp yeast
4 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS, use egg yolks only
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup MAGNOLIA FRESH MILK
1/2 tsp iodized fine salt
1/2 cup MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER UNSALTED
3-1/2 cups MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR

Filling:

1 (165 g) pack MAGNOLIA CHEEZEE, cut into 12 sticks

Frosting and topping:

1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup MAGNOLIA CREAM CHEESE SPREAD

Procedure:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. Combine dough ingredients in a mixer and knead for 8-12 minutes until the dough is developed (surface should be smooth and free from any lumps).
  3. Cover dough with damp cloth/cling wrap and let stand for 30 minutes or until double in size.
  4. Divide dough into 12 portions then shape into balls. Using a rolling pin, flatten the dough into a rectangular shape and place a stick of cheese in the center. Roll dough into a log shape.
  5. Place dough on the baking sheet and let stand again without cover. Bake for about 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely.
  6. Spread cream cheese on top of roll. Combine powdered sugar and cheese. Sprinkle on top.
