CAJUN CHICKEN PASTA


Ingredients:

6 pc MAGNOLIA CHICKEN STATION TENDER STRIPS, each piece cut into 2
1/4 cup MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER UNSALTED
2 strips PUREFOODS CLASSIC BACON HONEYCURED, sliced 1/2 inch strips
1 cup green bell pepper strips
1 cup red bell pepper strips
1 cup sliced button mushrooms
1 cup canned whole or crushed tomatoes
2 tbsp chopped green onions
1 (250 mL) pack MAGNOLIA ALL-PURPOSE CREAM
120 grams spaghetti, cooked accroding to package directions
1/2 cup grated MAGNOLIA QUICKMELT CHEESE

Cajun Seasoning

2 tsp pepper
2 tsp paprika
2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tbsp garlic powder

Procedure:

  1. Combine all Cajun seasoning ingredients and marinate chicken. Set aside.
  2. In a pan, melt butter then sauté bacon, bell peppers, mushrooms and marinated chicken. Cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Add tomatoes and green onions. Lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Add cream and simmer for 5 minutes more.
  4. Top pasta with sauce and cheese.

Makes 6 servings.
