BEEF WITH YOUNG CORN & TAUSI


Ingredients:

1 (75 g) pc large onion, sliced
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 kg MONTEREY BEEF CAMPTO, cut into thin strips
3 tbsp cooking oil
2 cups water
1/4 cup oyster sauce
2 tbsp tausi, mashed
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp sugar
1 (220 g) can baby corn, drained and each piece cut into 3
1 tbsp cornstarch, dissolved in 1 tbsp water
1 stalk leek, sliced diagonally into 1” pieces

Procedure:

  1. Sauté onion, garlic and beef in oil. Add water and simmer covered for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Add oyster sauce, tausi, pepper, sugar and corn. Simmer for another 10 minutes.
  3. Add cornstarch mixture, stirring continuously until sauce thickens. Stir in leeks.
Makes 5 servings.
