BACON ASPARAGUS YAKITORI


Ingredients:

1 (500 g) pack PUREFOODS THICK CUT HONEYCURED BACON
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 (200 g) bundle asparagus, cut 2 inches long then blanched
1/4 cup store bought barbecue sauce

Procedure:

  1. In a pan, fry bacon but do not brown.
  2. Wrap 2 to 3 pieces of asparagus in bacon. Secure with skewer and brush with barbecue sauce before serving.

Makes 5 servings.

Yield: 10 pieces skewers / 2 pieces per serving   Tip: Cut off the tough woody root ends of asparagus before cooking.
