APPLE CINNAMON LOAF


Ingredients:

STREUSEL

1 (225 g) bar MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER, cut into small cubes
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1/2 bar MAGNOLIA CHEEZEE, grated

APPLE FILLING

1/4 cup MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER UNSALTED
4 (150 g each) pc Fuji apple, peeled and cored then cut into thin slices
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1 (1 kg) pack SMMI MIX & BAKE CREME CAKE MIX, mixed according to package directions

Procedure:

  1. Line four 8x3 inch pans with wax paper or grease with butter and dust with flour.
  2. In a bowl, toss in butter with sugar and flour until butter is well coated. Add cheese and rub together until it resembles large breadcrumbs. Set aside in the chiller.
  3. Make the apple filling by melting the butter in a pan. Add apples and cook over low heat for 5 minutes. Add sugar and cinnamon. Cook until the sugar melts completely. Set aside to cool.
  4. Place half of the regular batter in the pan. Using a spoon, add apple filling in a zigzag pattern. Repeat and using a knife, marble the batter and top with streusel.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Makes 16 servings

Yield: 4 loaf cakes
