Strawberry Streusel Cake


  1. Strawberry Streusel Cake Prep
    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9″ round baking pan with cooking spray. Then, take some extra flour and coat the pan all the way around. Mix the Cake Dry Ingredients. In a medium bowl, pour the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir these ingredients together with a whisk. Add the Cake Wet Ingredients. Now add the vanilla, the egg and the melted butter. Beat this together so it’s well mixed.. Then, pour the batter into the prepared pan. Next, arrange the sliced strawberries
    on the top, gently laying them evenly around the pan.
  2. Prepare the Streusel Topping
    In a small bowl, combine the flour and sugar for the topping. Using a pastry blender or two knifes, cut in the butter to create a crumbly topping. Pour in the chopped nuts and mix it all together. Then, sprinkle the topping over the strawberries. Bake the Strawberry Streusel Cake. Place the pan in the oven and bake for about 35-40 minutes. Take it out of the oven and let it cool a bit before slicing. I like to serve this with a scoop of whipped cream and a fresh strawberry for garnish. Enjoy.
