STRAWBERRY PRESERVE BARS


Ingredients:

3/4 cup MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER, softened
1 cup sugar
1 pc egg
.5 cup strawberry preserve
2 cup MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Procedure:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 F. Line a 13" x 9" x 3" baking pan with aluminum foil. Grease pan. Set aside.
  2. Cream Magnolia Gold Butter until light in color. Add sugar and continue to cream until well blended. Add the egg and strawberry preserve. Mix together flour, baking soda and salt. Stir into the creamed mixture. Fold in nuts. Spread mixture into prepared pan. Bake for 30 minutes.
  3. To prepare the frosting, combine confectioner's sugar, Magnolia Gold Butter and strawberry preserve. Blend well until smooth. Gradually add milk until of spreading consistency. Spread over baked bars.
