SAUSAGE PARMIGIANA STYLE RICE


Ingredients:

2 tbsp cooking oil
1 cup chopped onions
2 tbsp finely chopped garlic
1 cup green bell pepper strips
6 pc PUREFOODS SMOKED TURKEY FRANKS
1 can crushed tomatoes
1 tbsp sugar
iodized fine salt and pepper to taste
1 cup sliced black olives
4 cups cooked rice
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Procedure:

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Sauté onions and garlic.
  2. Add bell peppers and franks and cook until bell peppers are tender.
  3. Add crushed tomatoes. Bring sauce to a boil then back to simmer. Add sugar, salt and pepper. Turn off fire then add olives.
  4. Pour mixture on top of the rice then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese on top before serving.

Makes 4 servings. Tip/s: Add iodized fine salt and pepper to taste.
