SAGO PUDDING WITH CREAM CHEESE & MANGO SAUCE


Ingredients:

3/4 cup sugar
4 cups cooked small sago
1/2 tbsp pandan flavor
3 drops green food color
1/4 cup pure unsweetened coconut milk (kakang gata)

Cream Cheese Sauce

1/2 pack MAGNOLIA CREAM CHEESE, softened
1/4 cup MAGNOLIA ALL-PURPOSE CREAM
1/2 tbsp fresh lemon juice*
2 tbsp honey
1/3 cup diced ripe mangoes

Topping

1 pc ripe mango, sliced into half-moons or shaped into balls
1/4 pc toasted pinipig

Procedure:

  1. Caramelize sugar. Add cooked sago, pandan flavor, green food color and coconut milk. Cook the mixture until all the liquid evaporates.
  2. Transfer into 6 round molds (custard cup or ice cream cups)
  3. Blend cream cheese, cream, lemon juice and honey. Fold in mangoes into the mixture. Set aside.
  4. Unmold sago pudding and top with prepared cream cheese sauce. Arrange the mangoes on top. Sprinkle with toasted pinipig, if desired.

Makes  10-12 servings. *you may substitute with calamansi juice
