PUTO PANDAN


Ingredients:

2 cups MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1 cup galapong
1-1/2 cups sugar
2 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp iodized fine salt
1/2 cup BAKER'S BEST MARGARINE
2 cups pandan water*
1/4 cup MAGNOLIA FULL CREAM MILK
1/2 cup MAGNOLIA QUICKMELT CHEESE, cut into strips
2 tbsp BAKER'S BEST MARGARINE, melted for brushing

*Boil 8 pandan leaves in 2 cups of hot water. Let it cool.

Procedure:

  1. Combine all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients except cheese and melted margarine. Mix until smooth and well blended.
  2. Pour mixture into well-greased puto molds. Steam for about 15 minutes. Garnish with a strip of cheese then brush with melted margarine.

Makes 16 pieces.
