PUREFOODS FIESTA HAM IN BEER & HONEY SAUCE


Ingredients:

1 cup MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER UNSALTED
1 (1 kg) pc PUREFOODS FIESTA HAM
1 cup chopped carrots
1 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped leeks
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 tbsp snipped parsley
1-1/2 bottles SAN MIGUEL PALE PILSEN
1-2 cups chicken stock
4 pc cloves
1/4 cup honey
1 tbsp cornstarch, dissolved in 2 tbsp water

Procedure:

  1. Caramelize carrots, celery, leeks, and onion in butter until vegetables are tender. Add ham and sauté.
  2. Add beer and enough chicken stock to cover ham. Add honey and simmer until vegetables have broken down and sauce has reduced. Add parsley, cloves, salt and pepper.
  3. Add cornstarch mixture, stirring continuously until sauce slightly thickens.
  4. Remove ham and slice before serving with sauce

Makes 10-15 servings.
