PUREFOODS CORNED BEEF OMELET RICE BY CHEF GENE GONZALEZ


Ingredients:

1 tsp minced garlic
2 tsp finely chopped ginger
2 tsp chopped onions
1 tbsp MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER
1 (210 g) can PUREFOODS CORNED BEEF
1 cup cooked rice
1/4 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp tonkatsu sauce
10 g shiitake mushrooms, hydrated and chopped
3 tbsp ketchup
iodized fine salt and pepper to taste
hondashi (Japanese seasoning powder)
2 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS
extra ketchup
extra tonkatsu sauce
chopped chives

Procedure:

  1. Sauté garlic, ginger and onions in butter. Add corned beef and continue sautéing. Add rice, soy sauce, oyster sauce, tonkatsu sauce and mushrooms. Add ketchup and mix. Season with salt, pepper and hondashi.
  2. In another non-stick pan, cook scrambled eggs and create a rice roll.
  3. Garnish omelette rice with ketchup streaks, tonkatsu sauce and sprinkle with chopped chives.
Makes 5 servings.
