PENNE PASTA WITH LUCBAN LONGANISA


Ingredients:

2 tsp minced garlic
1 pc onion, chopped
1/4 cup olive oil
4 pc MONTEREY LUCBAN LONGANIZA, casings removed & filling crumbled
1/2 cup regular tomato sauce or chunky tomato sauce
2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
iodized fine salt and pepper to taste
200 grams penne pasta, cooked according to package directions
1/2 cup grated MAGNOLIA QUICKMELT CHEESE or MAGNOLIA GOLD EDAM CHEESEBALL

Procedure:

  1. In a saucepan, heat oil, saute garlic and onion.
  2. Add longanisa. Crumble while cooking. Cook for 5 minutes, and then add tomato sauce. Mix well and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  3. Add basil and season with salt and pepper. Simmer once.
  4. Pour over or mix with cooked pasta. Top with grated cheese.

Makes 4 servings.
