NUTTY KISSES


Ingredients:

2-1/2 cups MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1/4 tsp iodized fine salt
1 (225 g) bar BAKER’S BEST MARGARINE, softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS, separate egg yolks from whites
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups finely chopped walnuts
36 pc chocolate kisses

Procedure:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease baking sheet. Set aside.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour and salt. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, beat margarine and sugar until creamy. Stir in egg yolks and vanilla then gradually add flour mixture. Mix well.
  4. Shape dough into 1” balls. Dip each ball in egg whites then roll in finely chopped walnuts.
  5. Place on prepared baking sheet, 1” apart. Make an indentation in the center of each ball to fit chocolate kisses.
  6. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes or until lightly browned. Add chocolate kisses to cookies while still warm. Let cool completely.
Makes 36 pieces.
