NO-BAKE BROWNIES


Ingredients:

1-1/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup BAKER'S BEST MARGARINE
2 tsp MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS
2 tbsp light syrup
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp iodized fine salt

Topping

150 grams white chocolate
1/2 tbsp BAKER'S BEST MARGARINE
50 grams semi-sweet chocolate, chopped

Procedure:

  1. Stir sugar, margarine, eggs, light syrup, and vanilla.
  2. Sift together flour, cocoa powder and salt. Add to egg mixture, beat until smooth.
  3. Pour batter into a 9-inch square ovenproof dish.
  4. Microwave at medium-high for 8 to 9 minutes or until done. (Note: Do not overcook or brownies will harden. Cool.
For topping:
  1. Melt white chocolate and add margarine. Spread on top of brownies.
  2. Melt semi-sweet chocolate. Dot on surface of white chocolate covering and with toothpick, make a swirling motion along the dots to have a "chain of hearts" effect.
Makes 32 pieces.
