- Thaw beef burger patties in the refrigerator until softened.
- Form patties into logs about 1 inch in diameter and pan-fry in hot oil.
- Cook for 4 minutes over moderate heat.4. Just when you are about to remove logs from the pan, immediately place a cheese slice around each burger.
- Allow cheese to slightly melt around the log.
- Place this into a hotdog bun.
- Serve with mayonnaise and catsup if desired.
