MISO GLAZED CHICKEN POPCORNS


Ingredients:

1 (200 g) pack PUREFOODS CHICKEN POPCORN NUGGETS

MISO GLAZE:

1/2 tbsp minced garlic
2 tbsp STAR MARGARINE CLASSIC
1 tbsp miso paste
1/2 tbsp cornstarch

Procedure:

  1. In a small saucepan, sauté garlic in margarine. Mix in miso paste and dissolved cornstarch. Simmer, stirring continuously, until thick.
  2. Toss chicken popcorn nuggets in sauce just before serving.
Makes 5 servings. Tip/s:
  1. Buy the Japanese or Korean miso paste in Asian stores. Local miso is also an option.
  2. Richness of miso paste intensifies as the color gets darker. Adjust saltiness by diluting with water.
  3. Drain chicken popcorn nuggets on paper towels if deep fried.
  4. Toss only popcorn nuggets just before serving so that dish does not get soggy.
