MELT-IN-YOUR-MOUTH SALAMI TRIANGLES


Ingredients:

2 tbsp cooking oil
1/4 cup chopped onion
3 tsp chopped garlic
4 slices PUREFOODS DELI SALAMI
1 cup spinach, washed and chopped into thin strips
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp ground oregano
iodized fine salt and pepper to taste
1 cup grated MAGNOLIA CREAM CHEESE
3/4 cup grated MAGNOLIA QUICKMELT CHEESE
10 pc square lumpia wrappers
2 cup cooking oil, for deep-frying
1/2 cup store bought salsa

Procedure:

  1.  In a frying pan, heat oil. Sauté the onions until translucent. Add the garlic and salami and sauté for 1 minute. Add the spinach and cook for about 3 minutes. Season with thyme, oregano, salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, combine the grated cream cheese and Quickmelt cheese. Add the salami-spinach mixture and mix well. Let cool.
  3. Cut the lumpia wrapper lengthwise into strips with a 2 inch-width. Spoon some salami-cheese mixture onto bottom of the lumpia wrapper strip. Fold the bottom end to make a triangle.
  4. Keep folding until a triangular pouch is formed. Moisten the lumpia wrapper with some water to seal the salami triangles. Repeat until all salami-cheese filling is used up.
  5. Deep-fry the triangles in batches until golden brown. Serve with salsa.
Makes 3-4 servings.
