Honey Almond Biscotti


Ingredients:

3 cups MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp iodized fine salt
2 tbsp MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER UNSALTED, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3 tbsp honey
3 pcs MAGNOLIA BROWN EGG
1 tbsp coarsely chopped almonds

Procedure:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Sift and mix all-purpose flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
  3. Beat butter and sugar then add honey. Add eggs one at a time. Mix well. Fold in almonds. Gradually add in flour mixture and mix until well combined.
  4. Shape dough into a log. Flatten top a bit then wrap in cling film. Chill for about an hour.
  5. Bake dough for 25 minutes. Let cool. Cut into 1/2” thick pieces. Place cut pieces, sliced side down, on a baking tray then bake again at 275°F for 45 minutes to let dry. Let cool completely.
Makes 35 to 40 pieces.
