QUICK PORK RAMEN


Ingredients:

1 L water
1/2 cup miso paste
1 cup mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine)
1/2 cup light soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 cup ginger juice
1/4 cup sake
1 (350 g) pack ramen noodles, cooked
350 grams MONTEREY PORK BELLY, sukiyaki cut
1 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGG boiled, peeled and sliced in half lengthwise
2 tbsp corn kernels, drained
1 stalks onion leek, chopped
1 pc dried seaweed (nori wrapper), cut into small strips

Procedure:

  1. In a medium size stock pot on medium heat, pour water. Allow to boil for 5 minutes.
  2. Add miso paste, mirin, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger juice and sake. Bring to a simmer so the flavor and color combine. Reduce for 10 minutes.
  3. Blanch ramen noodles in the soup mixture and transfer to a soup bowl.
  4. Boil pork belly on soup then arrange on top of the ramen noodles. Sprinkle some corn kernels and arrange sliced egg.
  5. Garnish with onion leeks and seaweeds and pour the hot simmering soup on it. Serve hot.
