CRUNCHY BAKED FISH


Ingredients:

1 kg fish fillet, cut into 1" sticks
2 tsp iodized fine salt
1 tsp pepper
1/4 cup calamansi juice
1 cup grated MAGNOLIA QUICKMELT CHEESE
1 cup Japanese bread crumbs
2 tbsp chopped parsley
1/2 cup MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1/2 cup MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER UNSALTED, melted

Honey Mustard Sauce

1/2 cup MAGNOLIA REAL MAYONNAISE
1/2 cup MAGNOLIA ALL-PURPOSE CREAM
1/4 cup honey
1 tbsp prepared mustard
iodized fine salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:

  1. Season fish fillets with salt, pepper and calamansi juice. Set aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Mix together cheese, breadcrumbs and parsley. Set aside.
  3. Roll seasoned fish in flour then dip in half of butter and dredge in breadcrumb mixture. Freeze for 30 minutes. Lightly grease a rectangular ovenproof baking dish with butter. Arrange fish and drizzle with remaining butter. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until fish turns golden brown. Serve with sauce.
  4. To make sauce, mix all ingredients until well blended.
Makes 6 servings.
