CROQUETTES WITH STUFFING


Ingredients:

1/4 cup MAGNOLIA BUTTER SALTED
2 tbsp chopped garlic
2 tbsp basil (chiffonade)
1/4 cup MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1/2 cup chicken stock
1/4 cup MAGNOLIA FRESH MILK
1/2 pack MAGNOLIA CREAM CHEESE, cubed
1/4 tsp iodized fine salt
2 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS, use egg whites only
1 pack Japanese breadcrumbs
1/2 cup cooking oil

Procedure:

1. Melt butter in a pan, sauté garlic and basil. 2. Whisk in flour, add in chicken stock and milk. Season with salt. Cool mixture. Set aside. 4. Get 1 spoonful of mixture then place 1 pc cream cheese and shape into a log. 5. Dust with flour, deep in egg white then bread crumbs. Repeat with remaining mixture. 6. Deep fry until golden brown. In the Philippines, croquettes are usually made with mashed potatoes and chopped meat or fish. Makes 5 servings.
