CRISPY KANGKONG


Ingredients:

1 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGG
1 cup cold water
1-1/2 cups cornstarch
1/2 cup MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1/2 pinch iodized fine salt
pinch pepper
4 bundles kangkong, washed and pat-dried, use leaves only
3 cups cooking oil
MAGNOLIA REAL MAYONNAISE for dipping

Procedure:

  1. Mix egg, water, cornstarch, flour, salt and pepper in a bowl. Add leaves and mix until all leaves are coated with batter.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Fry leaves until crisp and golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve kangkong with mayonnaise.
Makes 3-4 servings.
