CREME CARAMEL


Ingredients:

Caramel

1 cup sugar
2 tbsp water

Flan

1/2 cup MAGNOLIA CREAM CHEESE, softened
1/4 cup sugar
3 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS
3/4 cup condensed milk
1 (360 mL) can evaporated milk
1 cup MAGNOLIA FULL CREAM MILK
2 tbsp Amaretto* (optional)
1/2 cup vanilla extract
*sweet, almond-flavored Italian liqueur

Procedure:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Make caramel by mixing sugar and water. Cook until mixture turns to a deep brown color. Pour caramel over 2 llanera pans. Set aside.
  3. Cream softened cream cheese and sugar with an electric mixer or by hand. Add eggs, condensed, evaporated and full cream milk plus Amaretto and vanilla. Mix well.
  4. Pour into caramel-lined pans. Place pans in a water bath.
  5. Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until set. Chill before serving.
Makes 6 servings.
