CREAMY APPLE STREUSEL CAKE WITH COFFEE SAUCE

Ingredients:

1/2	cup	DARI CREME CLASSIC
3/4	cup	sugar
2	pc	MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS
4	tsp	baking powder
1-3/4	cups	MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR, sifted
3/4	cup	MAGNOLIA CREAM CHEESE
1/4	cup	sugar
1	pc	MAGNOLIA BROWN EGG, use egg yolk only
2	pc	green apples, sliced thinly
1	tsp	cinnamon powder
1	tbsp	sugar

3/4	cup	MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR, sifted
1/2	tsp	cinnamon powder
1/3	cup	DARI CREME CLASSIC
1/4	cup	brown sugar
1/2	cup	chopped nuts (cashew, walnuts or sliced almonds)

Procedure:

Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease and flour a 9” spring form or round pan.
Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add baking powder then flour and mix until well-blended. Set aside.
In a separate bowl (no need to wash beaters), beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg yolk. Set aside.
Toss apples with cinnamon powder. Spread half of batter in the pan then pour cream cheese mixture on top and spread evenly. Arrange apple toppings.
Bake for 50 to 55 minutes.
For the topping, combine flour and cinnamon in a bowl. Cut in margarine with pastry blender or using your hands until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add brown sugar and nuts.
Combine all coffee sauce ingredients in a small saucepan, mix well and simmer, stirring for around 3 minutes. Serve cake slices with coffee sauce.

Makes 8-10 servings.
