CLASSIC BEEF FAJITAS


Ingredients:

1/4 tsp dried oregano
4 tbsp cooking oil
2 tbsp red wine vinegar
350 grams MONTEREY BEEF SIRLOIN, cut into thin strips
iodized fine salt to taste
1/2 cup thinly sliced white onions
1 cup red and green bell pepper strips
6 pc flour tortillas
1 cup prepared guacamole, chilled
1 cup sour cream, chilled
1 cup grated MAGNOLIA CHEDDAR CHEESE
1 cup store bought salsa

Procedure:

  1. In a freezer bag, combine oregano, 2 tbsp. oil and vinegar. Add beef and marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a large nonstick pan over medium heat. Remove beef from marinade and sauté for 3-5 minutes. Season with salt and set aside. Sauté onions and green bell peppers in remaining oil until tender. Set aside.
  3. Place beef and vegetables in flour tortillas. Add guacamole, sour cream, cheese and salsa. Fold the sides of the tortilla or roll before serving.
Makes 6 servings.
