CHICKEN MENUDO BUNS


Ingredients:

1 tsp calamansi
1 tsp sugar
soy sauce to taste
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup chicken broth*
1 pc small carrot, cut into cubes
1 pc small potato, cut into cubes
250 grams MAGNOLIA CHICKEN GINILING
1 tbsp minced garlic
1/4 cup chopped onions
2 tbsp cooking oil
2 tbsp MAGNOLIA CHEDDAR CHEESE, grated
salt and pepper to taste
4 pc large pan de sal, toasted and sliced in half

Procedure:

  1. Pour in chicken broth and let simmer for a few minutes.
  2. Add tomato sauce, soy sauce, sugar and calamansi. Bring to a boil then immediately lower heat to a simmer.
  3. When potatoes and carrots are nearly cooked, add cheddar cheese and season with salt and pepper according to taste. Let simmer for another minute.
  4. In a skillet, heat oil and saute onions until translucent.
  5. Add garlic and saute for another minute.
  6. Add chicken giniling and let cook.
  7. Add cubed potatoes and carrots and stir to mix.
  8. Fill toasted pan de sal with menudo and serve.
