CHEEZEE SIOMAI


Ingredients:

1 tsp pepper
2 pc whole eggs
1/4 cup MAGNOLIA CHEEZEE SPREAD
1/4 cup green onions
1 (250 g) pack PUREFOODS SWEET HAM, chopped or 2 (150 g each) cans PUREFOODS CORNED BEEF
4 cups cooked glutinous rice
65 pc siomai wrappers

Procedure:

  1. Prepare lightly greased steamer.
  2. In a bowl, mix all ingredients.
  3. Place every 1 tbsp of mixture in siomai wrappers and squeeze middle of siomai to make a waist and form ''siomai''
  4. Place siomai on greased steamer. Cover and steam over high heat for 5 minutes. Remove steamer from heat and wait for 20 minutes before opening.
  5. Transfer to platter and serve.

Makes 65 pieces.

Tip/s:

  • To make 4 cups glutinous rice, soak 1-1/2 cups glutinous rice in water for 30 minutes and then drain. Cook with 2 cups water in a rice cooker for 35 minutes.
