CHEESY BACON DOG CREPES


Ingredients:

Filling

1 (200 g) pack PUREFOODS CLASSIC BACON HONEYCURED, thinly sliced
4 pc PUREFOODS TENDER JUICY HOTDOG CLASSIC, halved and thinly sliced
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 (30 g) pc onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp cooking oil
1/8 tsp pepper
2 tbsp water

Crepes

1 cup MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
2 tbsp sugar
1/4 cup water
1 cup MAGNOLIA FULL CREAM MILK
2 tbsp MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER UNSALTED
4 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS, slightly beaten
extra MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER UNSALTED for greasing

Cheese Sauce

1/2 cup MAGNOLIA CHEEZEE SPREAD
1/4 cup MAGNOLIA FRESH MILK

Procedure:

  1. Combine bacon, hotdog and cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Sauté onions in oil until tender and add bacon-hotdog mixture. Mix well and season with pepper. Add water and cook until bacon and hotdogs are cooked. Set aside to cool.
  3. Crepes: Prepare crepes by combining flour and sugar in a bowl. Add water, milk, butter, and eggs. Stir continuously until a thin smooth batter is obtained. Refrigerate for at least an hour. Heat a crepe pan. Brush pan lightly with butter then pour about 1/3 cup batter. Tilt pan in a circular motion to create a round crepe. Cook for about 15 seconds. Flip and cook the other side for another 15 seconds. Repeat with remaining batter. Stack cooked crepes in between sheets of wax paper.
  4. Cheese Sauce: Combine all ingredients then set aside.
  5. Lay one crepe and generously top with bacon-hotdog mixture and cover with another crepe. Repeat layering until all bacon-hotdog mixture has been consumed. Pour cheese sauce before serving.
