CAPPUCCINO SQUARES


Ingredients:

1 bar BAKER'S BEST MARGARINE
1 cup cocoa powder
2-1/2 cups sugar
5 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
1-1/2 cups MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1/3 cup instant coffee
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp iodized fine salt
1/4 cup Kahlua coffee liqueur
confectioner's sugar for dusting

Procedure:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 9" x 13" pan with aluminum foil and grease. Set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt margarine. Stir in cocoa powder until smooth. Remove from heat.
  3. Add sugar and eggs. Mix until well blended. Stir in walnuts, flour, coffee, vanilla and salt. Pour into prepared baking pan. Bake for 45 - 50 minutes. Cool. Brush with Kahlua and cut into squares. Dust top with confectioner's sugar.
Makes 24 pieces.
