CAJUN CHEESE STICKS


Ingredients:

2 cups Japanese bread crumbs
6 tbsp Cajun seasoning mix
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp iodized fine salt
1 (185 grams) pack MAGNOLIA QUICKMELT CHEESE, cut into sticks
150 grams MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
3 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS, beaten
2 cups cooking oil

Salsa

1 cup coarsely chopped tomatoes
1 pc white onion, coarsely chopped
3 tbsp chopped cilantro
1/4 tsp chili pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp ground cumin
1 tbsp tomato sauce
1/4 tsp iodized fine salt

Procedure:

  1. Mix breadcrumbs, Cajun seasoning mix, chili powder and salt. Set aside.
  2. Dip cheese into flour, eggs and breadcrumb mixture. Freeze for 1 hour.
  3. Deep-fry in hot oil for about 1 minute. Drain on paper towels. Serve with salsa.
  4. Salsa: Mix ingredients together and serve with the fried cheese sticks.
Makes 3-4 servings.
