BROWNIE POPS


Ingredients:

3/4 cup BAKER’S BEST MARGARINE
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 tbsp corn oil
3 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS
1-1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
250 grams dark bittersweet chocolate block, cut into cubes
1 cup assorted candies and sprinkles

Procedure:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and line a 9 inch square pan.
  2. In a saucepan, melt margarine, cocoa powder, maple syrup and corn oil over low heat. Let cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat eggs and sugar until light in color. Fold in flour and cocoa mixture. Blend well. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes. Let cool. Cut out brownies into rectangles (8 pieces) from the pan.
  4. With the aid of a paring knife, make a slit on one end and slide a popsicle stick halfway into it for the handle.
  5. Melt bittersweet chocolate in a double boiler. Immediately pour melted onto brownies until the surface gets completely covered. Decorate with candy sprinkles and assorted candies.
Makes 24 pieces.
