BEEF, ONIONS & CREAM CHEESE TOASTS


Ingredients:

1 tbsp smoked paprika
2 tsp red chili pepper flakes
2 tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp iodized fine salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/2 kg MONTEREY BEEF SIRLOIN, sukiyaki cut
1/4 cup MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER
1 pc onion, thinly sliced
1/2 bar MAGNOLIA CREAM CHEESE, softened at room temperature before using
1 pc baguette, thinly sliced into 15 pieces

Procedure:

  1. Combine paprika, pepper flakes, olive oil, salt and pepper in a zip lock or bowl.
  2. Add beef and marinate in the refrigerator for an hour or more.
  3. Heat pan over high heat and then add 3 tbsp butter. Stir-fry beef until it's no longer pink. Set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add remaining butter and sauté onion over medium heat until tender. Set aside.
  5. Toast bread in the oven as desired. Spread cream cheese on each toast, then top with beef and sautéed onion slices.

Makes 5 servings.

(Yield:  15 pc toast/ 3 pc per serving)

Tip/s:

  • Use MONTEREY GROUND BEEF or MAGNOLIA CHICKEN BREAST as options.
