BEEF IN OYSTER SAUCE


Ingredients:

1 kg MONTEREY BEEF SUKIYAKI CUT
1/4 cup cooking oil
2 tbsp ginger strips
1 tbsp rice wine
1/2 cup oyster sauce
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water
1 cup snow peas (sitsaro)
iodized fine salt and pepper to taste

Marinade

2 tbsp rice wine
3 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 cup water

Procedure:

  1. Place beef in marinade and chill for 30 minutes.
  2. Using a wok, heat oil over high heat. Sauté ginger then add rice wine. Add beef mixture and sauté.
  3. In a bowl, combine oyster sauce, sugar, cornstarch and water. Mix until cornstarch is fully dissolved. Add to beef.
  4. Add snow peas into the beef mixture then season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2 more minutes more to cook through.
Makes 6-8 servings.
