BACON POPOVERS


Ingredients:

3 strips PUREFOODS CLASSIC HONEYCURED BACON, chopped
2 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS, beaten
1 cup MAGNOLIA FRESH MILK
1 cup MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
3 tbsp grated MAGNOLIA QUICKMELT CHEESE

Procedure:

  1. Preheat oven to 400° F
  2. Cook bacon until crisp. Drain and reserve bacon oil. Set aside. Brush bottom and sides of a 6 cup muffin pan with some bacon oil. Set aside.
  3. Mix eggs, milk and 1 tbsp bacon oil in a bowl. Add flour and mix until smooth. Add bacon bits and grated cheese.
  4. Fill prepared muffin pan with mixture half full.
  5. Bake for 35-45 minutes or until set. Let popovers cool slightly before unmolding. Serve warm.

Makes 6 servings.
