ASPARAGUS SOUP WITH CHEESE


Ingredients:

1 cup chopped asparagus
1/4 cup MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER UNSALTED
1/4 cup MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
5 cups chicken stock
1/2 cup MAGNOLIA FULL CREAM MILK
1/4 cup MAGNOLIA CREAM CHEESE, softened
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp hot sauce
1 tsp iodized fine salt
1/4 tsp pepper

Procedure:

  1. Sauté asparagus in butter.
  2. Blend in flour then add chicken stock gradually.
  3. In a bowl, combine milk, cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce. Blend until smooth then add into soup. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Simmer until soup thickens, stirring once in a while.
Makes 5-6 servings. Tip/s: Make the chicken stock by dissolving chicken cubes or by boiling chicken bones
